Our Journey Towards Nature Recovery

nuthatch jon hawkins

Nature South East is a network of nature partnerships devoted to nature recovery throughout the South East of England.

The partnership also has representation from Natural England, the Environment Agency, the CLA, Greener NHS, protected landscapes in the south east, the Rivers Trust, the Earth Trust and Forestry England and more.

Kent County Council alongside Surrey Nature Partnership provide the secretariat support along with members of NSE. NSE has now been established formally as a Community Interest Company and is seeking funding to develop nature recovery on a regional scale. In 2024 Sarah Jane Chimbwandira, Chief Executive at Surrey Wildlife Trust took on the role of Chair.

Three Partner Forum meetings are held each year, and a Steering Group meets regularly to discuss the direction of the partnership. Task and Finish Groups have been set up to deliver on workstreams. If you would be interested in getting involved, please contact the team.
